The Final Push | Bill C-218

We are entering a critical few weeks for Bill C-218, the Right to Recover Act.

The bill would make permanent the exclusion of mental disorder as the sole underlying medical condition for medical assistance in dying (MAiD).

Two important dates are coming up:

Wednesday, September 23 | 5:30–6:30 p.m. ET

The House of Commons is scheduled to hold the second hour of debate at Second Reading.

Wednesday, October 7

The Second Reading vote is anticipated to take place. If the bill passes, it will move forward to committee for further study.

The next few weeks are an important opportunity to make sure MPs across Canada hear from Canadians who support Bill C-218.

Ways you can take action:

• Email or write to your Member of Parliament and ask them to vote YES on Bill C-218.  Use this link to  Find Your MP
